What is a Pet Sitter?
A “Pet Sitter” is a person that is hired to care for another person’s pet(s) in the pet’s home environment.
Why should I use a Pet Sitter?
We will pamper and care for your pet while you are away. We are bonded and insured and held accountable for your pet’s well being.

What are the advantages to hiring a pet sitter in my home?

- Your pet receives undivided personal attention in your absence.
- You are not inconvenienced (or traumatized) by transporting your pet.
- You will not need to impose on a friend, neighbor or relative.
- Your home is cared for as well!! I provide crime deterrent services at no extra cost.
- You can return home at any hour of the day or night to find your pet healthy, happy and eagerly awaiting your return!
How many visits a day do you provide for pets?
You decide how many visits a day your pets needs. There is a minimum of three visits per day for indoor dogs. It really depends on your dog’s needs. There is a minimum of one visit for outside dogs and cats. Your pet may need more visits for medication or other needs. We do NOT do “every-other-days”.
How much does a visit cost?
The prices are based on the number of visits scheduled, number and types of pets cared for, the services provided and the time involved. The final price will be determined at the initial visit. Please see the “Pricing Page” for baseline information.
Is there a higher rate for holidays?
No, we do not charge extra for holiday visits.
What goes on at the Initial Visit?
You and your pets will meet the pet sitter and they will get to meet you. We will discuss the pet’s needs and house care needed, complete the Service Agreement, the Pet Owner Profile, the Pet Profile and the Veterinarian Release form. Finally the house key will be turned over and tested.
How do I get started?
Call 916-390-PETS (7387) or e-mail Arianna’s Pet Care at arianna@ariannaspetcare.com to set up a free “initial visit.” During this meeting, we can get acquainted with your pet and you can show us the routine that you have with your pet. Appointments should be made at least a week before you need a pet sitter to insure the reservation.

Parts of Antelope, Carmichael, Citrus Heights, Fair Oaks, parts of Folsom, Gold River, Granite Bay, Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights, and parts of Roseville
Is my personal information kept confidential?
Yes!! We do not disclose any client information to any third parties. All Service Agreements, Pet Owner Profiles, Pet Profiles and the Veterinarian forms are kept in a locked cabinet in our office. The owner and the pet sitter are the only people that will have access to your personal information.
How much notice do you need for a cancellation?
Cancellations may be made up to two days in advance of the first scheduled service. If the cancellation is within the 2-day period, a cancellation fee equal to one visit will be charged. During holiday periods, cancellations must be made up to five days in advance of the first scheduled service. Within the 5-day period a cancellation fee of 20% of the total reservation will be charged.
Do you take “last-minute” reservations?
Yes, ONLY, if you are a current Client, and we already have your key, a completed original set of forms (Service Agreement, Pet Owner Profile, Pet Profile and Veterinarian Release) and a completed Service Agreement addendum (can be done over the phone or by e-mail ).
What kind of animals do you care for?
We will care for almost any animal, as long as I don’t feel in any danger. Some examples are; dogs, cats, birds, pocket pets, horses, chickens, tortoise, lizards, snakes and fish.
Are you bonded and insured?
Yes, we are Bonded for theft and carry Liability Insurance through the Business Insurers of the Carolinas in Chapel Hill, NC. We are also members of Better Business Bureau of Northern CA.
Do you administer medication to pets?
Yes, I will give pills, drops and/or ointments.
How am I billed and when is it due?
Payment for services is due on a weekly basis on the last day of the week the service was provided. Currently, we only accept cash and personal checks.
What do you do in case of an emergency?
If an emergency occurs with your pets, We will first contact your vet and transport them if necessary. You will then be contacted about the situation. If there is an emergency with your home, We will call you, your emergency contact and the appropriate authorities and/or a preferred repair service.
